Are My Boots Different Sizes?Updated 10 months ago
The width of the outsole on the exterior of the boot can vary from boot to boot as it is a result of how much the exterior is sanded. If the boot maker hold one boot on the sander a little bit longer than the other there will be a variance. This is pretty common in our boots as they are handmade. However, the discrepancy in the outsole is not reflective of the space on the interior of the boot. The interior space is determined by the last, which is a fixed shape the leather is being pulled around. As long as the boots are stamped the same size on the inside of the upper, they should be the same! It's not too unusual for the left and right boot to feel different as the boots are breaking in. Break in can take hundreds of hours as the leather we use is typically two or three times thicker than most other brands!
